This is the first bullion silver coin to be struck by the Royal Australian Mint. The reverse design is a replica of the 'flying kangaroo' depicted on Australian halfpennies between 1939 and 1964 and pennies between 1937 and 1964.
This coin has a specimen (uncirculated) finish with 'reverse frosting' where the field is frosted to contrast with the highly polished raised design.
The coin is encapsulated and mounted on a colourful see-both-sides cardboard card protected by a plastic sleeve.
