The Story
In 2001 the Royal Australian Mint Canberra released a series of $1 coins to commemorate anniversaries of the establishment of the various arms of the Australian defence forces. Just 12 342 sets were released with the 3 uncirculated dollar coins:
- $1 Army 100th Anniversary 'C' Mintmark
- $1 Air Force 80th Anniversary
- $1 Navy 90th Anniversary
The coins in the set are mounted on a see-both-sides fold-out presentation card protected by a colourful cardboard sleeve.
