The Story
To celebrate the Lunar Year of the Monkey 2016 the Royal Australian Mint is continuing the Lunar Series which started in 2007 with the Pig struck in aluminium bronze silver and gold. This year the mint has produced a magnificent Monkey with in aluminum bronze with maximum mintage of 20 000.
Packaged in a red envelope and encapsulated on a gold card this aluminium bronze $1 coin features a monkey climbing through a tree.
