Now in it's 23rd year the Royal Australian Mint's Kangaroo Series is one of the most enduring in Australian Numismatic history. The third coin in the Explorers' First Sightings is based on an original hand-coloured engraving by Vincent Woodthorpe which was published in George Barrington's A Voyage to Botany Bay. The R.A.M will be issuing this design in three formats.
This proof is struck from 1/10oz of 99.99% pure gold encapsulated and cased with a mintage of 1500.
