This collection was the first in what was to become an annual release of proof bullion gold sets by the Perth Mint.
The 1986 4 coin set comprises:
- $100 - One Ounce Welcome Stranger Nugget,
- $50 - Half Ounce Hand of Faith Nugget,
- $25 - Quarter Ounce Golden Eagle Nugget and
- $15 - Tenth Ounce Little Hero Nugget
A total of 12,000 4 coin gold proof sets were released. The coins were housed, individually encapsulated, in a hinged lid presentation case.
