This is the eighth coin in the Australian Antarctic Territory Series. The central dual reverse design depicts a mature killer whale (or Orca) and calf in colour under the sea and a struck design showing an adult leaping from an ocean of floating icebergs within the shape of the Antarctic continent.
The 99.9% pure silver 1oz one dollar, is housed encapsulated in a charcoal-coloured leatherette hinged-lid presentation case accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity and protected in a colourful cardboard outer box.
