After the successful first release last year of The Perth Mint's Kimberley Sunset 2oz Gold Proof Coin the second and final release has been announced. Dated 2016 the reverse features the mirror image of the Kimberley Sunset design and is set with a fine white diamond embedded near the horizon representing the rising sun. The $500 coin's high relief is minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
