The second release of the domed colour printed Southern Sky five dollar 99.9% pure silver proof coin dated 2013 was released by the Royal Australian Mint. First described in 1598 by Dutch astronomer Petrus Plancius the Pavo constellation is most visible in August. Often referred to as a 'Peacock' it is beautifully depicted on this unusual and innovative dome-shaped blank. Sticky outer as normal for age.
