This 2019 $5 Fine Silver Frosted Uncirculated Coin featuring black nickel and selective gold plating honours one of Australia's lost species; the feisty little lesser bilby. Unlike the gentle surviving common bilby the lesser bilby was a carnivore that had notoriously fierce temperament. It lived in some of Australia's driest desert environments and was declared extinct in the 1950s.
