This is the third in a 5-coin Birds of Australia series and depicts a full colour Regent Bowerbird.

The male regent bowerbird is a velvety black colour with a gleaming yellow crown mantle and tipped wing feathers while the female is olive brown with white markings. An Australian endemic the Regent Bowerbird is distributed to rainforests and margins of eastern Australia from central Queensland to New South Wales.

The coin is housed encapsulated in a black hinged-lid presentation case accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity and protected by a colourful cardboard shipper.
