First released by the Royal Australian Mint in 2007, the simple yet striking reverse design of this coin features a lone kangaroo crossing the red soil plains against a setting sun, capturing the raw beauty and isolation of the great Australian outback.

Due to its high popularity, this coin was only available to customers that were successful in a ballot run by the mint.

Issued every year from 2007 through to 2019, each release had a tiny mintage of just 1000 coins.

Each coin is housed encapsulated in a finely crafted Jarrah hardwood box and colourful cardboard shipper and accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
