In 2018 the Royal Australian Mint presents the final colour printed triangular proof coin featuring the spectacular stained glass artwork from the Australian War Memorial.
Having previously operated independently from each other in 1976 each of the three services were grouped under a single headquarters command known as the Australian Defence Force. To commemorate the efforts and sacrifice of the tri-services the reverse of this coloured triangle shape 99.9% silver $5 proof features elements inspired by the spectacular artwork of Napier Wall in the Hall of Memory at the Australian War Memorial.
