Designed by English medal and coin designer Thomas Humphrey Paget this New Zealand model pattern George VI undated (1937-49) crown was produced in two metals - silver and gilded bronze (available here).

Paget is the only artist to have had two obverse monarch designs approved for use on circulating coinage in the 20th century his designs are indicated by the initials 'HP' under the Kings bust.
