The Story

The 1994 Year of the Family 50 cent coin and a 45 cent Year of the Family Postage Stamp were jointly issued by Australia Post and the Royal Australian Mint Canberra on 14th April 1994.

The pair are housed in a colourful First Day Cover envelope. The postage stamp has been cancelled with a specially worded ink mark which reads 'FIRST DAY OF ISSUE - 14 APRIL 1994 CANBERRA ACT 2601'.
