Produced from 1624, Swedish riksdaler or plate money are large copper or silver plates issued as circulating currency up until 1776. Many different denominations, dates, weights and sizes were issued and some plates weigh several kilograms with the largest 10 Daler weighing in at just under 20 kilograms!

We have available a Kingdom of Sweden Frederick I 1739 2 Daler copper plate which weighs 1.46kg and measures 16.3 x 20cm. In each corner a monogram is struck with a crown above the letters 'FRS' (Frederick Rex (King) Sweden.
